When playing the ROMS I notice that the graphics are a bit inferior quality from those in a real Sega Genesis/Megadrive console but since this does not include full Sega Genesis/Megadrive hardware inside, that is acceptable, and it's a plus you can have all Sega ROMS in an SD card, wich is the idea of this console, besides all the built-in games. I will then try my SD 2GB card full with ROMS form my Gopher Firecore unit. I tried a micro SD adaptor with a 1Gb micro SD card including a few roms, and it worked fine.

You can also, obviously, use real carts with the genesis, but the best RPGs are generally $20 to $50, so it all depends on how legit you want to be, and how much money you want to spend. The Firecore can play newly developed Truecolor games. Otherwise, Genesis consoles cost about $20 these days, and you can get a Flash Cart for about $70 that lets you load roms onto an SD card. We should also point out that at some point a Sega Master System converter was released that allowed it's games to be used on the Genesis. Sega Gopher is a portable version of the Sega Genesis manufactured by. It can be bought for like $15.00, is official, has perfect emulation, and comes with roughly 40 games, half of which are RPGs. The Genesis had two major addons: a 32-bit extension called 32X and a CD-ROM drive called Mega CD.

If you've got a hankering for Genesis RPGs, you should just get "Sonics Ultimate Genesis Collection" for PS3 or 360. It is an emulator built into a system on a chip, and it doesn't support saves, or any external stuff like the 32x, or even Virtua Racing. Pause the game (depending on the game, you may need to pause the emulator itself, for that just press 'Esc'), the choose the menu 'CPU -> Debug': You have two ways of ripping the sprites.

The problem is the low-quality firecore SOAC. You get a nice history of the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, along with its peripherals, the Sega-CD, the Sega 32-X and the holy grail of collectors the Sega Neptune. I have tried with roms on at games handheld, and with both roms and cartridges on the console, and saves do not work.
